A Beacon of Hope and Growth
De Mazenod Farm is a 19-acre community farm in rural Ancaster, Ontario, dedicated to sustainability, compassion, and service. Established in 2020 as an initiative of the Diocese of Hamilton, the farm transformed unused land into a source of fresh, nutritious food to feed those in need.
Driven by volunteers, the farm grows a variety of vegetables and herbs including: beans, peppers, potatoes, carrots and more. Harvesting over 1,900 pounds of produce each season. This food supports meals served to vulnerable community members through De Mazenod Door’s outreach program.
The farm also raises egg-laying chickens and maintains beehives, providing fresh eggs and locally produced honey. Proceeds from annual honey sales help sustain the farm’s operations.

Group Visits and Team Building
We can curate educational programming for your group, to teach more about agriculture and farming. This programming comes with a donation to support the Farm operations. Please contact our Donor & Volunteer Relations Manager for more information and to schedule your visit.

Discover the charm of De Mazenod Farm, accessible by appointment only. If you wish to plan a leisurely farm visit with your family, please call the farm directly at 905-522-9828 x 9 to schedule a time.
We request a donation of $20 per family or $5 per person to support the farm and our mission. The farm does not accept cash onsite. Please make payment ahead of your scheduled visit via e-transfer to donate@demazenod-door.ca
